Our Story

Trinity Baptist Church was started as a mission on October 7, 1979, in a joint effort of the Capital Baptist Association and Chisholm Heights Baptist Church of Mustang, OK. On that first Sunday, there were 88 people in attendance. On January 17, 1980, Ted Kersh was called as the mission’s first pastor, and on May 18, 1980, the church was officially dedicated as Trinity Baptist Church of Yukon with an existing membership of 331.

From its earliest days, the congregation has had a strong commitment to sound Biblical doctrine and a great passion for evangelism. By remaining true to these original principles and by the efforts of numerous leaders, God has done wonderful things through Trinity over the last 40+ years.

In 2004, our church began to pray about relocating its property in order to become a church that not only reached the people of Yukon, but all of Canadian County. God graciously led a local family to donate the land our church property currently sits on and we moved into our current facility in 2006.

In June of 2019, Trinity called Senior Pastor Brian Mills to lead our church. Since that day, Trinity has become one of the fastest growing churches in America, seeing the largest amount of salvations, baptisms, and attendance in our church’s history. Glory to God!!

In 2021 we opened the Together We Center to better serve the growing needs of Canadian County. The center houses three amazing ministries, Faith Clinic, Manna Pantry, and Woven Clothing Boutique. (TogetherWeCenter.com)

In 2022 we launched a building campaign called Faith Steps to meet the needs of our growing church. The new construction will begin in fall of 2022. Find out more about what’s next at FaithSteps.TrinityChurchOK.com

Our hope, by God’s grace, is to be a church who remains broken for the lostness of our community, who continually offers God’s free gift of salvation through Christ to all those we encounter, who grows our people up in their faith to become fully devoted followers of Christ, who sends our people out on mission to serve the church, the community and beyond, and who impact all generations present and the generation to come for Christ.

Our church’s mission: Together We are a reaching, discipling, sending church impacting generations for Christ.
